The outline not only requires the sculptor to make an accurate positioning of the lion's form and shape, but also painting foundation. According to the final size of the lion stone carving statue, you need to determine the proportion of the lion to minimize the waste of stone. In general, the proportion of the lion  stone carving is base takes up one third, the lion body takes up one third and the lion head takes up one third. Our artisans will delineate the exact position of the head and then the position of the front legs and hind legs.

After the outline of the lion is drawn, chisel out the extra parts by the method of artificial reduction and mechanical reduction. Artificial reduction is to completely use a hammer and solder to chisel large pieces of excess parts. Mechanical shortage reduction is using the cutting machine to cut the area. Finally, carve the lion's hair, eyes, nose, mouth, bell, legs, claws, base and other parts  by using a small size cutting machine to finish it. Under normal circumstances, it starts from the lion's hair modeling, and then carving from top to bottom. For example, the hair of lion hair should be clearly recognizable, and the closer between the hairs, the more it can reflect the texture of the statue.

Finally, polish the whole body of the lion, which requires the operator to have enough patience and serious attitude, as well as a skilled polishing method.
