Fiberglass sculpture is made of fiber reinforced plastic as raw materials, and the other composition materials also contain resin, therefore, what are the differences between Fiberglass sculpture and resin sculpture? There are three main differences for reference.

1. Composition components

Although both resin sculpture and Fiberglass sculpture are made of resin, there are still  difference between them. The resin sculptures are produced with only unsaturated resin, but fiberglass ones are made with added glass fiber on the basis of the unsaturated resin. The glass fiber reinforced plastic products, making products more solid, more corrosion resistant, and in line with the market demand.

2. Production techniques and manufacturing process

To make the resin sculpture, manufacturer must make the mold of product first after determining the product style, and then pour the unsaturated resin into the mold. Waiting until the products are solidified, and polish the surface, paint color after fully polished, finally obtain the resin sculpture.

While for Fiberglass sculpture, the first step is the design of production, to satisfy different demands of customers for FRP sculpture, then can begin the production process. The next step of FRP sculpture production is to make products with specific clay to build specific styling of corresponding product, after the clay model is finished, produce outer mold and coated with fiberglass materials. After mold dried, open the outer mold, and get finished goods through the process of mold.

3. The style and quality of the product

       Resin sculpture is generally made with characters, animals and natural plants elements, as well as landscape and other models, also available to intimate a variety of materials. The resin sculptures are most indoors, the storage time is generally 10-15 years; while the production of Fiberglass sculpture is mostly cartoon, animals related ,relatively large in size, generally put as an outdoor landscape, FRP sculpture can be used as the environment ornament in the community,  the outdoor storage period can maintain 3-5 years.
